Drawn on a full-size Canadian Navy chart, the wolf sits inside the negative space of the Juan De Fuca Strait. The wolf depicted is of Takaya, a lone wolf that separated from his pack and swam to Discovery Island, just off the Southeast coast of Victoria, BC. He adapted & lived on the island for many years, the island is at the top of the map, in which Takaya is looking back towards. Drawn in pen & ink, in a cross-hatching style. It has been scaled down to accommodate a more manageable size. The original drawing now hangs permanently as a part of The Takaya Legacy Collection, at the Eagle Feather Gallery.
